nexuzhealth
Software Engineer
In December of 2022 I've decided to join nexuzhealth. Being a user of the mynexuzhealth platform, a platform that gives patients insights in their own medical records without all the hassle, I'm super excited to help create even more products and improvements to the healthcare sector for everyone involved!
In The Pocket
Software Engineer
In July of 2019 I get the opportunity to join In The Pocket as they recently opened a new office in Leuven!
I start off with working on a project for Payconiq by Bankcontact. It involves integrating services such as PingPing and Kadonation into the app into one seamless experiences. The integrations are embedded web applications powered by React.
After the first few successful integrations I move to a new project, this time for a Fintech startup. They're trying to help users accomplish their dreams by guiding them towards saving goals. We end up cloud-native services with PSD2 integrations and a mobile app powered by React-Native. The services are powered by Node.js, GraphQL and Postgres, written in TypeScript and running in Kubernetes.
Next I end up on a VR related project for an entertainment company. We end up building a video processing pipeline in the cloud using Event Driven Architecture. The pipeline is powered by Node.js, Google Cloud PubSub and ffmpeg, all written in TypeScript. The entire platform runs on Google Cloud GKE and the configuration and deployments are done using Terraform and Kustomize.
That brings me to today where I am part of the team working for TP Vision, a large scale television manufacturer. We're building out their new Wave platform. A platform to remotely manage a fleet of displays. The platform runs on AWS and uses technologies such as AWS IoT, Fargate, Lambda, SNS, SQS, MongoDB, Node.js GraphQL and is written entirely in TypeScript. The platform is accompanied by a web portal powered by React.
THEOplayer
Software Engineer
In March of 2018 I follow my aspiration to dive deeper into the world of JavaScript (and TypeScript). I join THEO Technologies where I will work on new services and tools to enhance the THEOplayer experiences.
I end up leading a small team developers building out a new portal to onboard new customers and distribute the latest THEOplayer SDK's. The platform is built using TypeScript on both the frontend and the backend and is powered by GraphQL and React.
Boondoggle
Software Engineer
In November of 2015 I take another leap and join Boondoggle to further develop my skills on the web. I end up working on some of the largest projects within the company.
The team I end up on is part of a consortium that builds out the new frontend tier of Argenta Netherlands, a large bank in the Netherlands. In little over a year we launch the first part of the transformation with a new personal banking web application. The year that follows we continue expanding this web experience as well as integrate loans.
During this project my main focus goes to integrating a collection of difference back-end systems, combining them into an easy to consume API for the new frontend. I also learn Angular and Sitecore while building parts of the frontend.
SBB Accountants & Adviseurs
Software Developer
In October of 2012 I land my first official job at SBB Accountants & Adviseurs as a Junior Software Developer. I get my first hands-on experience with C# and .NET writing various applications for the accountants and advisors.
Two years later I end up as a lead developer in charge of rewriting the invoicing system which bills over 10 000 active customers on a monthly basis for various accounting services.
By the end of 2014 this new system is expanded with a new SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) integrations to power the direct debits.
Carabas
Developer (Intern)
In April 2012 I get my first professional experience in the field thanks to an internship at Carabas.
I help to maintain their in-house Content Management and Marketing platform built on top of the CodeIgniter framework in PHP.
SKBL Scholengemeenschap
Student
In Februari of 2012 I get the work on an online platform for SKBL-school-community. This serves as a graduation project where we build out a new online platform to manage organizations that support and aid in the education process.
It's a group project with 3 other students of my class. The platform is built using ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework as major technologies.
